We, the students of Canisius University in pursuit of academic excellence and ethical and spiritual growth for the community of Canisius, pledge ourselves to the development of the whole person, to the ideals and values of the Jesuit tradition. As the students of Canisius University, we make it our responsibility to uphold and defend the mission of the university and the Jesuit identity. Committing ourselves to magis and the pursuit of excellence, as well as dedication to social justice, cura personalis, and standing for and with others. In pledging this, we are bound to protect and uphold, to the best of our ability, the rights and privileges guaranteed to our members by this constitution & bylaws and the community standards of Canisius University and do hereby independently establish the Canisius University United Student Association.
