The Canisius University Anime Club is a social and cultural club open to all students and faculty. Anime Club is focused on providing entertainment to its members for Asian culture, specifically anime. The Anime Club promotes this desire by showcasing all anime genres and organizing various events such as anime screenings, Maid Cafe, Geek Gala, and a Sleepover. C-Block, established in 2000, is the student section at all Canisius College athletic events. Raucous, rowdy, and decked out in Canisius Blue and Gold, C-Block is the voice and spirit behind every team, creating an intimidating atmosphere for those who dare enter the Koessler Athletic Center, HARBORCENTER or the Demske Sports Complex with thoughts of going home victorious.

Each year, C-Block grows larger and stronger, bringing more students to athletic events with the intention of motivating our student-athletes with as much noise as possible. Currently, one of the largest clubs on campus, C-Block dedicates most of its time preparing for the opposition - so opponents beware.

Golden Griffin Audubon is a campus chapter of the Audubon society, whose mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats. This club is officially affiliated with the Audubon society, so we are required to do a conservation project by Audubon every year. We will be working closely with Buffalo Audubon as well as possibly the UB chapter on this project. We also host birdwatching and other bird-related events each semester.

The purpose of the Humanities Student Union (HSU) at Canisius University is to demonstrate the continued interest of the student body in the humanities and unite students from various departments under one organization in order to create cohesive, collaborative, and committed environment.

We are committed to holistic education and excellence, where the humanities are recognized as equivalent to the sciences. Our Union is formed in recognition of the Jesuit values and strives to uphold “cura personalis” through the care and education of the whole person, as well as the leadership and action expected of a Canisius student.

All are welcome at HSU, and members are not required to formally be humanities majors or minors. If you have any interest in history, philosophy, English, foreign languages, law, religious studies, art---- or just in meeting up with a fun group of people hosting events, you are more than welcome to join!
