C-Block, established in 2000, is the student section at all Canisius College athletic events. Raucous, rowdy, and decked out in Canisius Blue and Gold, C-Block is the voice and spirit behind every team, creating an intimidating atmosphere for those who dare enter the Koessler Athletic Center, HARBORCENTER or the Demske Sports Complex with thoughts of going home victorious.

Each year, C-Block grows larger and stronger, bringing more students to athletic events with the intention of motivating our student-athletes with as much noise as possible. Currently, one of the largest clubs on campus, C-Block dedicates most of its time preparing for the opposition - so opponents beware.

Little Theatre is a group of students who have a passion for a variety of theatre arts, including performing, technical design, set-building, costuming, and more! We are the oldest club on campus and continue to provide Canisius with entertainment from a wide catalog of shows, both classic and contemporary.

If you like to act, sing, dance, build, sew, manage, paint, design, work with lights or sound, greet guests, or do hair and makeup, LT is for you.

We build and paint our own sets, design and find our own props and costumes, design and operate the lights and sound while also starring in all of the productions. We work as a team on each show, either with our resident director or with our student directors.

Little Theatre also puts on a variety night each semester called Studio X! Studio X is an event where anyone can get onstage to sing, dance, perform a skit or comedy routine, or show off any talent that they wish. It's a laid-back and fun atmosphere that celebrates all of our talents.

Quadrangle refers to Canisius University's annual literary magazine as well as the club behind its creation and is dedicated to providing a platform on campus for students to learn and practice the art of writing. Quadrangle is part of a legacy at Canisius that spans the last 70 years and beyond.
Quadrangle accepts submissions of anything that can be put on paper, including (but certainly not limited to) prose, poetry, nonfiction, artwork (both hand drawn and digital), and comic strips. We believe in creating a tangible place for students, staff, faculty, and alumni to share their unique voices and talents, thus contributing to a timely — and timeless — collection of work. Artists from all backgrounds, majors, and Canisius involvement are welcome.
Our annual magazine is first revealed to the public and dispersed at the annual spring unveiling, during which members of the campus and the greater surrounding community gather to celebrate the latest Quadrangle edition and enjoy exclusive readings from selected pieces. During the semester, Quadrangle holds writer workshops, artistic community get-togethers, and magazine/unveiling planning meetings.
The magazine is published every April. The theme of the year's magazine is typically released during the fall semester of that academic year, and submissions are typically closed around February 1st. Golden Griffin Audubon is a campus chapter of the Audubon society, whose mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats. This club is officially affiliated with the Audubon society, so we are required to do a conservation project by Audubon every year. We will be working closely with Buffalo Audubon as well as possibly the UB chapter on this project. We also host birdwatching and other bird-related events each semester.

Our mission as YDSA is to educate and organize students and young people and to play a helpful and principled role in the movement for social justice both on the Canisius campus and in the local community, engaging in activities that embody our college’s Jesuit ideal of being men and women with and for others. Within and throughout this struggle, we will articulate and defend the idea that true human liberation is impossible under capitalism. We seek social change which extends democracy into all aspects of life -- social, political, and economic. This is the struggle for democratic socialism. Our vision of socialism is profoundly democratic, feminist, and anti-racist.
