Mass of the Holy Spirit

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a celebratory welcome to the new school year and connects Canisius to a tradition across Jesuit universities and institutions. We gather to call on God’s Spirit for inspiration and wisdom in the upcoming academic year. The entire University community, regardless of faith tradition, is invited to come together and rededicate ourselves to Canisius’s mission and community.

Mass of the Holy Spirit will take place Wednesday September 10th at 10:00am in Christ the King Chapel. Our academic calendar includes a special break in the class schedule on this day so that all members of our campus community have the opportunity to attend and participate in the Mass. There will be a brunch in the dining hall immediately following mass.
